A buccal fat thread lift is a thread lift targeting the buccal fat pad, located in the lower part of the cheeks. As we age, the position of the buccal fat pad gradually shifts downward. About the Buccal Fat Thread Lift Procedure
How is a Buccal Fat Thread Lift Done?
A buccal fat thread lift involves inserting medical-grade mono threads created especially for tightening the skin into the subcutaneous layer of the skin of the lower part of the cheeks, above the buccal fat pad. The thread ends are then trimmed so as not to be visible from the surface of the skin. The lifting effect is achieved thanks to the tightening action of the mono threads, which are smooth and do not have cogs but instead work by tightening the space between the fat and the skin layer, as well as encouraging the skin’s natural collagen production. Over time, these threads dissolve, meaning thread removal is not necessary.

The buccal fat pad is a pocket of fat located deep inside the cheek on either side of the mouth. It contributes to facial contours, often giving what people call a ‘baby face’ look, and also aids in muscle movements while chewing and smiling.
