How is a Mid-Face Thread Lift Done?
A mid-face thread lift involves inserting medical-grade cog threads created especially for lifting into the subcutaneous layer of the skin of the lower cheeks, and then lifting and pulling it into the desired position. The thread ends are then trimmed so as not to be visible from the surface of the skin. The lifting effect is achieved thanks to small cogs on the threads that hold the skin in position after being lifted, as well as encouraging the skin’s natural collagen production. Over time, these threads dissolve, meaning thread removal is not necessary.
